Roy Smith says aging is “all hormonally related.”

The head of Scripps Florida’s Department of Metabolism and Aging says “there are the good hormones - testosterone, estrogen, growth hormones (HGH), and there are the bad hormones - cortisol, stress hormones, inflammatory cytokines. A news report on SportsIllustrated.com linking Jamaican Olympians Delloreen Ennis-London and Adrian Findlay to performance-enhancing drugs, including human growth hormone (HGH) has received mixed reactions by readers of the website.

The article, co-written by Luis Fernando Llosa and L Jon Wertheim, stated that SI obtained documents stating that between June 2006 and February 2007, two shipments of Somatropin (Human Growth Hormone, HGH) and one shipment of Triest (Estrogen) were sent to Delloreen London at a Texas address, while in November 2006 a shipment of Testosterone, Testosterone Aqueous, and Oxandrolone were sent to Adrian Findlay.

It’s no surprise that steroids have been at the forefront of controversy over the past few years. Never-before-seen documents obtained exclusively by ABC15 reveal the doctors at Revolution Medical Centers have been under criminal investigation - an investigation never made public until ABC15 went to court.

The Department of Justice, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the State of Arizona all focused on Dr. Jesse Haggard and other RMC doctors.

A 10-page search warrant affidavit claims Dr. Haggard was breaking the law, writing “illegal prescriptions” for human growth hormone(HGH), testosterone, and other performance-enhancing drugs, “prescribing or administering these drugs for body building purposes,” even steroids that are “not approved for any human use.”

The warrant indicates the DEA raided the clinic back in May of 2007.
