HGH stands for human growth hormone and is being scrutinized in the medical world of anti-aging. It’s been touted as a return to youth. But what does it really do?

Former model Amanda Whatley decided to start taking HGH. She learned to give herself the shots which she believes will help her lose weight. “At this point I’m on the cusp of watching myself go swish,” she said. “I just feel so much better and my skin, my skin glows.”

“Some of the really dramatic improvements are fat reduction, reduction in the amount of fat because it helps metabolize fat,” said plastic surgeon Dr. Fred Aguilar who is Amanda’s doctor. Dr. Aguilar also says he prescribes HGH for anti-aging. “The whole study of anti-aging is based on trying to maintain hormones in our body that keep us youthful as long as we don’t overdo the dosages,” he said.

Anti-Aging & HGH

February 8, 2008 | Leave a Comment

Anti-aging is a spinoff.  A spinoff of cardiology, endocrinology, radiology, etc. Nobody went out and decided to fund anti-aging medicine.   These incredible, fantastic achievements in the area of anti-aging medicine  have occurred in spite of, rather than because of the work of the NIA (National Institute of Aging). Imagine  if you will what kind of incredible  strides we could make from where we are  today to a technology that could essentially halt aging.  If you beat aging you beat everything.

It’s been estimated that if you could extend a healthy productive life span of the American public by simply one year, the savings to the US economy could be measured in the range of 2 to 5 trillion dollars. This was actual testimony before Congress. Some experts believe, that we have the
technology right now. And many feel that a key component to the answer lies in the safe, natural increase of HGH levels in the body.

Dr. James Forsythe, a Reno, NV oncologist and homeopath who prescribes HGH for his patients, was taken to court by the FDA—and won. Here is an excerpt from his recent interview with journalist D. Brian Burghart.

As we age, we lose HGH on a predictable 10-15 percent decrease per decade. You have your most when you’re 15-25, after that we all start sliding downhill. When you’re my age—I’m 69—you have less than half of what you had at your peak. Replacing it (HGH) is a natural thing we do in medicine. Let’s face it: We replace menopausal hormones, male hormones, adrenal hormones, if they’re low, thyroid hormones, if they’re low. Why not replace human growth hormone (HGH)? I belong to the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, which boasts 20,000 members throughout the country and more around the world. There are probably 40 different societies in the world that are into this anti-aging medicine. It’s called New Age medicine. Replacing HGH along with other hormones is what we do.
