Dieting & HGH
January 22, 2010 | Leave a Comment
In his new book, Dr. Michael Aziz, Manhattan internist, reveals a revolutionary eating plan that has helped thousands of his patients lose weight without feeling hungry, by stabilizing ten key hormone levels.
Low fat diets wreak havoc on insulin levels increasing hunger: It may also lead to vitamin deficiencies, and often result in consumption of too much sugar and artificial sweeteners. In addition the process that makes foods low in fat often introduces unnecessary chemicals into your body. The most popular low carb diets can shut down the growth hormone (hgh) which keeps you fit, create problems with your thyroid, or cause cellular damage.

Insulin & HGH - Not The Best Of Friends
November 24, 2009 | Leave a Comment
Insulin and HGH are the main two hormones that control metabolism hence the importance nutrition plays on recovery: insulin works when we are in a FEASTED state and HGH works when we are in a FASTED state.
The two hormones are up or down, regulated in relation to the amount of glucose in the blood stream. The more carbohydrate (digested and broken down to glucose) we eat, the more insulin is released to deal with the glucose and remove it from the blood system. We can only start producing HGH when all this insulin is gone which leads us to the problem athletes have following a traditionally recommended high-carbohydrate diet.

IGF-1 & HGH
October 14, 2009 | Leave a Comment
As its name indicates IGF-1, or insuline like growth factor-1, has similiar properties to insulin, and it has improved blood sugar profiles in type 2 diabetic patients.
High dosages of growth hormone (HGH)Â have been shown to increase insulin resistance, but IGF-1 administration actually normalized the insulin resistancein a group of healthy volunteers.

Carbs, Insulin, & HGH
August 3, 2009 | Leave a Comment
When you eat carbohydrates, your body naturally produces a hormone called
insulin.
To put it in simple terms, insulin and HGH do not get along so well. When your body realizes that insulin is in the bloodstream, it will not release HGH until the insulin goes away. Here is the problem with doing that close to bedtime. You naturally get a burst of HGH in the first hours of sleep. If you eat carbs close to bedtime, this will increase the insulin in your bloodstream and your HGH release will be limited. You do not want that. Cut the carbs out a few hours before bedtime.

Leptin Regulates Hormones Including HGH
July 20, 2009 | Leave a Comment
Leptin, a hormone derived from fat cells, is best known for its efforts to send messages to the body that its time to stop eating. This process may go awry in many people with obesity. Dr. Sebastiano Ando, lead researcher, has noted that leptin is also involved in many other processes in the breast, from reproduction and lactation to cell differentiation and proliferation. Leptin is activated by signals from the leptin receptor, and it is this partnership gone wrong that has previously been shown to be involved in the development of breast cancer. Leptin has been found in 86.4% of primary breast tumors.
All this research implies that the regulation and function of leptin must be restored in anyone wanting to be protected from breast cancer or its return. Health guru Byron Richards, one of the first nutritionists to recognize the importance of leptin, describes it as the single most important hormone for body weight control. Leptin regulates thyroid hormone, insulin, growth hormone (HGH), and renal hormones. When leptin is dysfunctional, all the other hormones regulating metabolic processes become dysfunctional too. He sees an understanding of leptin as basic for anyone trying to get and keep optimal metabolic function.

‘Biggest Loser’ Coach Jillian Michaels On Diet, Hormones Including HGH
April 10, 2009 | Leave a Comment
Health coach for NBC’s The Biggest Loser Jillian Michaels was here to talk about her new book Master Your Metabolism.
One of the key messages in her book is no matter where you are in your “diet” goals (someone looking to lose a great deal of weight, a thin person looking to maintain, etc.) everyone can and should all be taking advantage of the great health benefits of balancing our hormones/metabolism.
Start detoxifying by removing antinutrients that disrupt the body’s natural hormonal balance, causing it to speed the excessive release of weight-gain hormones (insulin, estrogen, cortisol) and to block the release of weight-loss hormones (thyroid, leptin, adiponectin, HGH/human growth hormone).

Hormone Drop Due To Aging Includes HGH
March 5, 2009 | Leave a Comment
What we have learned these last 50 years is that the natural levels of hormone, including hgh, drop precipitously as we age.Â
The drop in hormones from 40 to 50 is 30% and with the menopause, women experience an 90% drop in estrogens and a 75% drop in testosterone. And men are now losing 25-40% of their ‘manly’ hormones from 35 to 50. No wonder we see so much depression, insomnia, hot flashes, decrease sex drive, and disease. Our bodies are falling apart without our life-sustaining hormones.
keep looking »Now major natural hormones include, not only estrogen, progesterone and testosterone but also thyroid, DHEA, growth hormone, cortisol and insulin.
