HGH & Anti-Aging

August 22, 2008 | Leave a Comment

If we want to make an impact on diseases, attacking aging would have the greatest return for the effort, because if you beat aging you beat almost all the degenerative diseases in life.  Will human growth hormone (HGH) help?

What is aging?  Is aging the number of birthday candles on your birthday cake?  Or is aging rather the amount of wear and tear on your body and its systems?  I would suggest the latter.  There’s a lot of truth that you’re as old as you feel or you’re as old as your metabolism, is what I would suggest.  And so if it is merely a function of metabolism, and aging is primarily a function of metabolism then we should be looking at better ways to keep our metabolism young, because if our metabolism is young we’re young. That’s the basis of the thought of anti-aging medicine that is becoming popular today, and many physicians are prescribing humna growth hormone (HGH) for their HGH deficient patients.

More than 70 medical experts from around the world will gather at the Dubai Congress on Anti-Aging and Aesthetic Medicine (DCAAAM) in November.

The event will be an opportunity for local healthcare professionals to learn about the latest research in early detection, prevention, treatment and reversal of age-related diseases and the latest techniques on cosmetic surgery and aesthetics, say organisers.

According to Dr Robert Goldman, the co-founder of the A4M, the event is just the beginning of what his organisation plans to bring to the region.

Last January, Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone, 61, admitted to using human growth hormone (HGH) to prepare for his physically demanding roles in Rocky Balboa and Rambo, and endorsed them, saying they “increase your quality of life”.

Dr Goldman says the industry will continue to grow in leaps and bounds as awareness increases. “You can’t change your chronological age but you can adjust your physiology,” he says. “This is an industry that can only grow. It is like a billion-tonne elephant going down a hill.”

Here is some interesting information on what hgh does for us, and how it declines as we age:

Many researchers have concluded that one of the primary causes of aging is the decrease of hgh human growth hormone production.   According to Dr. Ronald Klatz, M.D., President of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, “Aging appears to be due in large part to the drastic decline of growth hormone in the body after adulthood.”

According to hgh human growth hormone research, at age 21, the normal level of circulating hgh is about 10 milligrams per deciliter of blood, but at age 61, it’s decreased 80% to only 2 milligrams. They say it’s growth hormone that grows the cells, bones, muscles, and organs, and it is the level of growth hormone after age 30 that slowly robs us of our youth.

After age 30, the secretion rate of hgh drops14% per decade.   By 80, most people barely produce enough hgh to build a fingernail, explaining why injuries experienced by seniors take so long to heal.

HGH has been called a miracle for many:

Touted as a wonder drug that builds muscle, sheds fat and restores youth, HGH has grown into a multibillion-dollar worldwide business, by some estimates. The only problem is, it’s not always a legal one. Though growth hormone has certain uses approved by the Food and Drug Administration, these don’t include anti-aging therapy, bodybuilding or athletic enhancement.

HGH may have the benefits you need to regain youthful energy. Take a look:

Is there really a “fountain of youth”? Some believe there is… with HGH. HGH is Human Growth Hormone. It’s produced naturally in your body, but amounts decrease as you get older. In fact, supplementing your body’s HGH levels can even help Reverse The Effects Of Aging.

HGH comes in many forms, the most potent being an injection given by authorized medical professionals. This is quite expensive however, and there are many alternative forms of HGH available on the market today.

DHEA & HGH

May 12, 2008 | Leave a Comment

Dr. Ronald Klatz discusses DHEA in his amazing book, Grow Young With HGH:

By now, most people are familiar with all the hoopla surrounding the hormone with the tongue-twister name, dehydroepiandrosterone, better know as DHEA. It has been called the “fountain of youth” hormone and touted as the ultimate weight-loss, muscle-building, cancer-preventing, feel-good drug. But here, again, many of its benefits stem from the fact that it raises the level of IGF-1 AND growth hormone(HGH).

Is there really a “fountain of youth”? Some believe there is… with HGH.

HGH is Human Growth Hormone. It’s produced naturally in your body, but amounts decrease as you get older. In fact, supplementing your body’s HGH levels can even help reverse the effects of aging.
Human Growth Hormone is known as the Master Hormone or the “Hormone of Youth”. It controls the release of many other hormones in the body and is made by the pituitary gland in the center of the brain. During childhood, HGH directs the growth of the body. In adults, HGH begins to decline steeply with age. This decline is associated with many of the effects of aging. Hundreds of studies have been done on the use of HGH in adults. It has been found to raise energy levels, enhance lean muscle, decrease body fat, strengthen the heart, improve cholesterol, fortify bones, smooth out wrinkles, sharpen memory, improve sexual function, regenerate damaged tissues, boost the immune system, and improve sleep.
HGH comes in many forms, the most potent being an injection given by authorized medical professionals. This is quite expensive however, and there are many alternative forms of HGH available on the market today.

60 Minutes reporter Steve Kroft interviewed anti-aging physician Alan Mintz who uses and prescribes HGH:

(CBS) Dr. Alan Mintz, 67, says he feels great. He should. He’s a leading doctor in the new multi-billion-dollar field known as anti-aging medicine. But besides good diet and exercise, Dr. Mintz and a number of his patients take small doses of human growth hormone (HGH) - a drug whose distribution or marketing for anti-aging uses is illegal, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Dr. Mintz says his practice is entirely legal because he only prescribes for patients who are deficient in that hormone (HGH).

Mintz says taking HGH and other hormones, such as testosterone, build muscle mass, reduce fat and fight osteoporosis. That’s because they replenish those same compounds that are produced by the human body but diminish with age. They also promote a good sex life, mental acuity and increase energy, he says.

“This is not about the fountain of youth … It’s about staying in charge of my life and being productive,” says Mintz, who says his patients include movie stars, CEOs and the president of a foreign country.

“People are looking to feel better,” Mintz tells Kroft. “They’re tired of hearing, ‘I’m getting old. There’s nothing you can do. Just live with it.’ “
