Increasing one’s varois hormone levels, including human growth hormone (hgh) may help the symptoms of menopause in women and andropause in men:

Subcutaneous implantation of testosterone hormone pellets can increase sex drive, energy, focus, lean muscle tissue, drive, and decrease irritability in both men and women while subcutaneous implantation of estrogen hormone pellets relieves persistent menopausal symptoms in perimenopausal and postmenopausal women. The result is an enhanced quality of life and sense of wellbeing. These rice grain sized pellets are bio-identical hormone pellets have been around since the late 1940’s. They are making a come-back as more alternative and health-conscious minded adults are tired of “being tired” and who want more out of life. This anti-aging movement involving testosterone and human growth hormone (HGH) started in the 1990’s and has been more recently been popularized by Suzanne Somers and Sylvester Stallone.

A news report on SportsIllustrated.com linking Jamaican Olympians Delloreen Ennis-London and Adrian Findlay to performance-enhancing drugs, including human growth hormone (HGH) has received mixed reactions by readers of the website.

The article, co-written by Luis Fernando Llosa and L Jon Wertheim, stated that SI obtained documents stating that between June 2006 and February 2007, two shipments of Somatropin (Human Growth Hormone, HGH) and one shipment of Triest (Estrogen) were sent to Delloreen London at a Texas address, while in November 2006 a shipment of Testosterone, Testosterone Aqueous, and Oxandrolone were sent to Adrian Findlay.

DHEA & HGH

August 4, 2008 | Leave a Comment

DHEA, like human growth hormone (HGH) is produced by the pituitary gland.

The manufacture of DHEA starts in the pituitary axis, which releases ACTH (adrenocorticotrophic hormone). ACTH signals the adrenal glands to manufacture DHEA from cholesterol. It is released int othe bloodstream as DHEAS (DHEA sulfate). Dubbed the “mother of all steroids,” DHEA is the most abundant steroid in the human body and is involved in the manufacture of testosterone, estrogen, progesterone, and corticosterone. The decline of DHEA with age parallels that of human growth hormone (HGH), so that by age sixty-five, your body makes only 10 to 20 percent what it did at age twenty. Many anti-aging specialists believe that replacing DHEA in later life is beneficial.

USDoctor.com takes a look at hormones:

The term ‘hormone’ comes from the Greek and is interpreted as “to excite.’  With appropriate levels of biologically identical hormones (bio-identical), the body is excited into action.  Hormones not only help athletes run faster, they help the body repair faster, think faster, and perform using less energy.  Life without hormones is less life, less action and a more rapid demise.

What we have learned these last 50 years is that the natural levels of hormone drop precipitously as we age.  The drop in hormones from 40 to 50 is 30% and with the menopause, women experience an 90% drop in estrogens and a 75% drop in testosterone.  And men are now losing 25-40% of their ‘manly’ hormones from 35 to 50. No wonder we see so much depression, insomnia, hot flashes, decrease sex drive, and disease.  Our bodies are falling apart without our life-sustaining hormones. Now major natural hormones include, not only estrogen, progesterone and testosterone but also thyroid, DHEA, HGH, cortisol and insulin.

HGH has certainly received a lot of publicity lately. We found an article that discusses a recent clinical study on HGH:

In a study published in New England Journal of Medicine, individuals received 6 months of HGH plus gonadal steroids (estrogen and progestin for women and testosterone for men). Body composition was analyzed along with strength, lipid profile, and aerobic capacity. There was significant increase in lean muscle mass and a decrease in body fat by 3.5-18%. There was a significant increase in aerobic capacity. There was an improvement in the lipid profile (decrease in total and LDL “bad” cholesterol). There was also a decrease in blood pressure. Overall, there was found to be a significant additive effect of the sex hormones (estrogen/progesterone/testosterone) and HGH resulting in dramatic improvements in body composition and functioning with a reversal of the aging process.
